Hola Jefas, welcome to La Jefas Plants! My name is Maria and I started this small business in 2020. I graduated college in 2019 and had my daughter during finals week. It was very hectic, but after graduating everything stopped. I was so used to always being on the go. As my dad would say “ponte las pilas” meaning get to work. I was struggling with my mental health due to the drastic change in my life. My mom noticed and decided to bring me some plants. I didn’t think anything of it at first, but to my surprise I grew to love it. It helped me destress and it became a creative outlet. Now, my daughter and I enjoy gardening together. I would like to dedicate this small business to my Papá and Mamá for all that they sacrificed by immigrating from Zacatecas, Mexico to provide a better future for me. Los amo un chingo! Last but not least, thank you to my sister for helping my vision come to life. Thank you to my family for all of their love and support.
